Configure detectors and alerts in SignalFx µAPM 🔗

Important

The original µAPM product, released in 2019, is now called µAPM Previous Generation (µAPM PG). In the documentation, µAPM now refers to the product released on March 31, 2020.

If you are using µAPM Previous Generation (µAPM PG), see µAPM PG Detectors and Alerts.

You can dynamically monitor error rate and latency in the services you are tracing with APM. APM detectors use built-in algorithms to detect sudden spikes and historical anomalies in your APM metrics, while requiring minimal setup.

In the SignalFx UI, you can quickly set up a µAPM detector from the Detector menu on any chart with APM metrics. You can also create APM detectors via the SignalFx API.

For more information on ways to create detectors, see Choosing how to create a detector.

To view active alerts for µAPM, see Viewing active alerts for a service µAPM monitors.
