Recommended Detectors 🔗
Need some context? Detectors and Alerts
For many of the charts on our built-in dashboards, Infrastructure Monitoring provides built-in templates for recommended detectors.
When recommended detector templates are available and related to a chart, they will be visible in the Detector menu, as shown below.

Tip
You can also activate a detector based on a built-in template from the Templates tab on the Alerts page. Simply click on the name of the template, then skip to step 3 below.
Open the Detector menu by clicking the bell icon at the top right corner of a chart, or next to a heading in the Infrastructure Navigator.
Click
.Select a recommended detector from the Built-In Templates menu.
When you select a built-in template from which to build a detector, a popup appears with information about the detector.
Click Add recipient to add one or more notification recipients to this detector, such as your email address or a team name. Adding recipients is optional but strongly recommended.
If you are familiar with filtering the signal on plot lines in charts, you can specify a filter for the detector on the Parameters tab.
To create the detector and start monitoring the signal, click Activate.
Any recipients you specified will now receive notifications when the detector conditions are met and when the condition clears. Also, active alerts will be displayed on the Active Alerts tab on the Alerts page.
Tip
When you activate a recommended detector, it is listed as a Related Detector on the Detector menu (as shown at the top left of this illustration). Other users can subscribe to related detectors to start receiving notifications.
