Understanding Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring Analytics 🔗

The Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring Chart Builder helps you easily construct plot lines that specify what metric you want to use, whether to filter it down to specific sources (for example, from a particular datacenter or service), and what analytical functions to apply. The plot line that you construct in Infrastructure Monitoring is actually a SignalFlow program running on our service.

SignalFlow is the analytics technology that enables powerful and flexible visualization and anomaly detection in the Infrastructure Monitoring service, for both historic and real-time streaming data. Charts and detectors created in Infrastructure Monitoring create corresponding SignalFlow programs that run to produce the desired results.

For a brief overview of SignalFlow, see SignalFlow Analytics Language. For a more in-depth discussion, continue to the following sections.
